Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Excellence Award for Clinical Scientific Research

 

INTRODUCTION:

Scientific researches and its applications at the present time has become one of the most pressing needs, as the world is in a frantic race to reach the largest amount of fruitful knowledge that contributes greatly to the well-being and progress of the human being. Proceeding from this as well, Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group has undertaken to provide and implement all that serves both the individual and the community in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations for its ambitious goals that contribute towards achieving the Kingdom’s ambitious vision 2030.

 

PURPOSE:

        • Encouraging and supporting medical scientific research in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the benefit of developing Saudi medical and health services via publication in the HMG journal.
        • Allocating an annual award for excellence in clinical scientific research under the name "Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Research Excellence Award".
          •

 

AWARD CATEGORIES:

1- First Award:

  • A total of (500,000 SAR) will be awarded to the winner.
  • The research has produced ultimate solutions to a serious disease.
  • The research has enhanced the quality of life by creating new ideas for patients’ safety.
  • The research has evidence of improving clinical effectiveness.
  • The research is original, well designed, understood, comprehensive, challenging.
  • Possibility of impact on global healthcare.

2- Second Award:

  • A total of 300,000 SAR will be awarded to the winner.
  • The research must be an original research.
  • The research has produced ultimate treatment to a serious disease.
  • The research has enhanced the quality of life by creating treatments.
  • The research has an evidence of reducing cost and improving outcomes.
  • The research is original, well designed, understood, comprehensive and challenging.
  • Possibility of impact on local healthcare.

3- Third Award:

  • A total of 200,000 SAR will be awarded to the winner.
  • The research must be an original research.
  • The research has produced ultimate treatment to a serious disease.
  • The research has enhanced the quality of life by creating treatments.
  • The research has an evidence of reducing cost and improving outcomes.
  • The research is original, well designed, understood, comprehensive and challenging.
  • Possibility of impact on local healthcare.

4- Fourth Award:

  • The research must be Systematic Review, Meta-analysis, Meta-synthesis, or Narrative Review.
  • 200,000 SAR will be awarded to four winners, one winner for each issue each research will receive a total 50,000 SAR.
  • The research has increased healthcare services quality and patients' safety.
  • The research has proven its high impact and applicability in healthcare.
  • The research is highly significant and likely to generate new knowledge in the field.
  • The study's findings are likely to have important aspects of public well-being.

     
    •

5- Fifth Award:

  • 150,000 SAR will be awarded to three winners, each winner will receive a total of 50,000 SAR.
  • The principle investigator must be student (undergraduate or postgraduate).
  • The research can be an original research or a review.
  • The research contributes to developmental science and theory.
  • The research poses an important research question.
  • Demonstrates strong theoretical rationale.
  • The student researchers have demonstrated an efficient research understanding.


6- Sixth Award:

  • (150,000 SAR) will be awarded to three winners; each winner will receive a total of (50,000 SAR).
  • Principle investigator must be enrolled in one of the fellowship programs of Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • The research can be an original research or a review.
  • The research contributes to developmental science and theory.
  • The research poses an important research question.
  • Demonstrates strong theoretical rationale.
  • The student researchers have demonstrated an efficient research understanding.

APPLICATION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

General mandatory requirement: Researches nominated for the award must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Application deadline is 15/04/2022.
  • All eligible researches must have been published in Dr Sulaiman AL Habib Medical Journal in a particular Georgian year will be considered for the award.
  • The research must address an aspect of national and international medical research priorities.
  • Each Principal Investigator (PI) can apply for only one award from the below mentioned categories.
  • Projects that do not meet the nomination requirements will not be accepted.
  • All documents and papers submitted must be kept confidential.
  • • It is not possible for any of the award’s personnel to participate in the competition for any of the award’s categories
    •
